On the App StoreHi, I’m Patrick.

I’ve been making media since 2012: radio, TV, podcasts and now social media at WDR, one of Germany’s big public broadcasters. On the side I build websites and games, and every game has a dog in it. I’m also training to become a dog trainer.
The idea, the design and the feel come from me. AI helps me with the programming, and I test and polish until everything feels right. A dog always gets the lead role.

On the App StoreMika is a virtual creator I came up with. She shows my games in short videos on TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, in English and clearly labelled as AI.
Everything I do goes into this project: what I learned in media about openings, editing and formats, my eye for social media numbers, my games and my own marketing.
The channels started in October 2026. The numbers are still small, and that’s exactly what makes it exciting: every week I see what works and what doesn’t.

Dry, warm, no influencer clichés. Mika comments on what happens in the game and doesn’t make anything up.
With Mika on screen, with just her voice or without her. Every video needs an opening, a little story and a punchline.
Every video is checked against clear criteria before it goes online. A lot gets rejected and redone.
What keeps people watching, what gets swiped away? The insights go straight into the next ideas.
From the outside, grubenhund.com is the website for my dog training. Behind it is a complete appointment system that I built myself over several months, with AI as my tool.
Planning, testing, throwing things out, rebuilding until everything fits. That’s the part you don’t see from the outside.

Services, advice articles, real Google reviews and appointment requests right on the site.
Sign up, add your dogs, request sessions. Plus training cues, a dog diary and reminders.
For me: calendar, open slots, a record for every dog and my own area for blog, reviews and search engines.
I started in radio in 2012, as a trainee, host and editor, mainly at Radio Regenbogen and later as a writer at 1LIVE, and won two LFK media awards along the way. Then came TV at WDR Lokalzeit, plus my own podcasts on the side.
Since 2022 I’ve been on the permanent staff at WDR and have worked in quite a few roles there. Today I’m a social media channel manager and keep an eye on how WDR’s social media channels perform.
Further training in 2025: Professional Scrum Master I, goal coaching, project management.

Balou came to me from a Romanian rescue in early 2018. He pulled on the leash and barked at cars, and in that first year I often thought about giving up.
Today he is completely relaxed. I want to understand better and better how he sees the world, so I’m training at ATN – Akademie für angewandte Tierpsychologie und Tierverhaltenstraining, an academy for applied animal psychology and behaviour training. Until I qualify, I train with practice teams in Düsseldorf.
I get excited about things fast. And then I dig in deep.
What connects social media, games and dogs for me is lightness: switching off, sharing joy and finding the kid in me again instead of always being the serious grown-up.
I have ADHD and new ideas keep coming. Without AI, many of my projects wouldn’t be possible. But I’m meticulous: I plan, check every result and polish until it fits. Only then does anything go out.
About my games, for press and jobs, or if you’re working on an AI or website project and want to talk it through.
